Now Onwards MPNP for the Expression of Interest Drawings Using the NOC 2021

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) will start using the 2021 edition of the National Occupational Classification (NOC) for all applications received on or after November 16, 2022, in accordance with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

Only NOC 2021-based Expression of Interest profiles are presently accepted by the MPNP (5 digits). Anytime is a good moment to submit a profile.

On November 17, 2022, the MPNP will hold an Expression of Interest draw for profiles utilising NOC 2021. You must have filed an Expression of Interest profile by November 16, 2022, at 11:59 p.m. CST to be eligible for any draw taking place on November 17, 2022.

After November 16, 2022, the MPNP will still accept new Expression of Interest profiles and hold periodical draws based on the number of applications the MPNP needs to accomplish its goals.

Before December 31, 2022, the MPNP intends to hold an Expression of Interest draw for skilled workers abroad. All Expression of Interest submissions with a Manitoba connection—whether through a supporter of Manitoba or prior experience in Manitoba—will be taken into account for this draw. Please review the eligibility requirements for Skilled Workers Overseas here for more details.

Please be aware that the MPNP nomination and subsequent permanent residence application will be evaluated using NOC 2016 if your MPNP application was submitted before November 16, 2022. You cannot change your nomination or application to NOC 2021.
