The number of immigrants that Canada hopes to invite over the next three years is controlled by the Immigration Levels Plan.

IRCC announced on their official Twitter that “Regional immigration is central to our plan. We’re focusing on people, businesses, and communities across the country. This allows us to have an immigration system flexible enough to help those in need at home and around the world.”

The Levels Plan will ensure that Canada continues to welcome immigrants to different regions of the country, including small towns and rural communities:
➡️465,000 permanent residents (PRs) in 2023
➡️485,000 PRs in 2024
➡️500,000 PRs in 2025
In 2021, Canada welcomed over 405,000 immigrants, breaking its previous record. This year, it hopes to welcomes close to 432,000 immigrants.
